SSCS, Inc. has been an industry leader for close to 30 years. It develops and maintains a software solutions set that addresses the back office and home office needs of the markets it serves, including wholesale fuel distribution.
SSCS works diligently to seek out and find technologies suited to support our customers as they strive to grow revenues and manage their operations efficiently. Whenever possible, SSCS solicits feedback from its client base to ensure it understands their evolving needs. This is invaluable input that allows the company to create products in line with the needs of the market.
SSCS enthusiastically embraces PCATS standards and incorporates them into their products whenever possible because they add speed, efficiency and profitability to their customers' daily routines. PCATS technology guidlines are used in the development of SSCS's poller interface software, used by the company's back office system, Computerized Daily Book, to retrieve daily sales data from a number of point-of-sale systems. These POS systems include the Gilbarco Passport, the Wayne Nucleus, the Radiant Systems Radiant 6 and the Tesoro Retalix StorePoint.
In addition, the PCATS EB2B retail merchandise schema for invoice files, item files and purchase order files is utilized by the Computerized Daily Book's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) module and Computerized Assisted Ordering (CAO) module. Plans are underway to explore a process, incorporating PCATS standards, through which merchandise will be received into CDBWin from several direct store delivery (DSD) suppliers.
The interoperablity across platforms that open standards encourage creates integral process links between SSCS users and those with whom they do daily business, including major grocery wholesalers who choose to participate. Without these standards, a different solution for virtually every supplier would be needed.
