The PCATS Conformance Testing Tool has been upgraded to allow certification of documents processed against version 3.4 of the PCATS POS Back Office Interface Standard. Users have a choice of performing tests of either version 3.3.3, 3.3.4 or 3.4. Conformance Validation Certificates will indicate the specific version tested.
The PCATS Conformance Certification Program is currently in a pilot period. Several solution providers are actively testing their products for conformance with PCATS-NAXML POS Back Office Interface Standard Version 3.3.

There are several key points regarding the program that should be understood by all concerned.
When a company is granted a Conformance Validation Certificate that certificate is posted to the PCATS website and is made available for all to see.
- The company that has been granted a Conformance Validation Certificate is entitled to display a "PCATS Certified" logo in accordance with the terms of the usage agreement. The company is required to create a link between the "PCATS Certified" logo and the Conformance Validation Certificate on the PCATS website.
- Certification is granted for a particular version/versions of a company's software product and is good for a specified period of time. The granting of the certificate does not guarantee the suitability of any Company application or product for the purpose for which it was created, not should it be construed in that fashion by either party.
- The issuance of any Conformance Validation Certificate or use of the PCATS Certified Logo should not be construed as implying that any product or application meets any third party interface certification requirements that may exist, or that any two products with such Certificates automatically will interoperate with one another.
- The PCATS Conformance Process is intended solely to confirm the capability of a system to publish a document that conforms to the PCATS POS/BOS Standards. The Conformance Process does not certify the performance or features of the application.
- BY ISSUANCE OF A PCATS CERTIFIED LOGO, PCATS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SUCH WARRANTIES ARE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED WITH REGARD TO ALL PRODUCTS.
